All food news is always good news. Zomato has announced the expansion and upgrade of its paid subscription service Zomato Gold, that was launched last November. Membership to this exclusive ‘Gold Club’ will be open to the public one last time on April 27. After this, you can still become a member, but only by invitation. So if you’re not a Zomato Gold member yet, here’s your chance to become one and savour the delights of premium dining.
Deepinder Goyal, Founder and CEO, Zomato announced this via a blog post and said, “We are very excited about the future of Gold and are making it bigger and better. We’ll be opening Zomato Gold for public purchase for the last time on the 27th April. Post that, Zomato Gold will be an invite-only membership program.”
As of now, Zomato Gold is available for more than 2,100 restaurants across Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Pune. It will soon be expanding to five new cities - Jaipur, Kolkata, Chennai, Ahmedabad and Chandigarh. Your membership will be valid across all these cities.
With over 2,00,000 members across the country in a span of four months, Zomato Gold might just be India’s fastest-growing paid subscription program. This is no surprise considering the privileges members enjoy. As a Gold member, you get a complimentary food item or two complimentary drinks for every two drinks. You are also invited to exclusive events like new menu previews, wine tasting sessions, chef interactions, restaurant launches and more. So naturally, we want to keep our membership club tight and restricted to the most discerning set of customers.”
