United States President Donald Trump has completed a full working week in office.

From the dispute over the crowd that attended his inauguration to the string of executive orders, Trump has already set off a number of controversies in his first week as president.

His latest executive order, a move to ban migrants and refugees from select Muslim-majority countries, has sparked a wave of protests across the United States.

The day after Trump’s inauguration, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer said that the ceremony had witnessed the largest attendance ever.

On Monday, Trump told Congressional leaders that he lost the popular vote because of voter fraud. Many Republicans were not impressed with his allegations.

On Tuesday, Trump signed executive orders restoring two controversial pipelines, the Dakota Access Pipeline and the Keystone XL Pipeline – both of which have been marred by protests.

In the following days, keeping with two of his most controversial campaign promises, Trump first ordered the immediate construction of a wall on the US-Mexico border. He then ordered a ban on refugees from a number of Muslim-majority countries. The order, which puts a ban on entry to the US Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen has drawn severe criticism.
