A 25-year-old man and three more women (aged 36, 32, and 21 years) were, on Wednesday, 2 February, arrested in connection with the abduction, gang-rape, and torture of a 20-year-old woman in Delhi.
This comes a day after two accused – 38-year-old and 36-year-old women – were, on Tuesday, remanded to police custody for further interrogation.
A total of 16 people have been apprehended in connection with the case so far.
Delhi's Shahdara Police has also registered three more First Information Reports (FIRs) in connection with the incident, after it was discovered on Monday that some social media accounts were spreading rumours that the survivor had died by suicide.
