Eman Ahmed, the world's heaviest woman who is undergoing treatment at Mumbai’s Saifee Hospital, has already lost 50 kg thanks to a strict diet regime.
The 37-year-old hadn't stepped out of her flat in Alexanadria, Egypt for 25 years and was confined to her bed. Now, just 12 days after she was admitted to the hospital, Eman is able to grip something and hold herself up, a report in The Indian Express said.
Dr Swati Sanghvi, head of the advanced physiotherapy and sports rehabilitation department at Saifee Hospital. said:
We want her to be able to do mass movement. First it was lifting her hand, followed by her arms. Then was the act of gripping and then by holding something or someone to pull herself up. She can now pull herself up with something that is anchored.
