The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon, in-house band The Roots and the cast of Star Wars: The Force Awakens came together for an epic tribute to the iconic theme score of the franchise in a unique way – an a capella rendition.
As the release date nears for the hotly-anticipated seventh installment in the Star Wars film series, Fallon and the cast took to celebrating the series’ score, composed by the legendary John Williams, whose film-score credits include Jurassic Park, Schindler’s List, Home Alone films and the Indiana Jones series.
The cast members — including newcomers Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, Gwendoline Christie, Lupita Nyong’o, and original stars Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford (in a 3-second stint) — appear in squared-off colourful compartments to a capella their way through the signature tune.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens will release in India on December 25.
