Kangana Ranaut is not done with taking potshots at Bollywood celebrities. At the success bash of Manikarnika, the actor spoke about stars distancing themselves from politics.

Kangana took the example of Ranbir Kapoor, who reportedly said that he doesn’t concern himself with politics, because he has no complaints from the government. Kangana urged Bollywood celebrities to responsibly take a stand on politics.

In response to her statement, Alia spoke about Kangana’s candidness and how she would rather keep her opinion to herself:

“I definitely don’t have the ability to speak as candidly as Kangana does and I really really respect her for that. And maybe in a way she is right that sometimes we do hold back. Kyunki hum nahi chahte ke, khamakha kyun bolna... My dad always says that there are already so many opinions in the world that the world could do with one less opinion. So, I have an opinion but I will keep it to myself. But kudos to her because she genuinely speaks really well”.

Take a look at what Kangana said about B-town’s apolitical stance.

Kangana Ranaut has been on the warpath with Bollywood, accusing actors like Alia Bhatt and Aamir Khan of not supporting her during the release of her film Manikarnika.

When Gully Boy director Zoya Akhtar was asked about the controversy, she told Pinkvilla, "of course people appreciate her work...I don't understand her accusations, I'm sorry."

When Alia attempted to extend an olive branch to the actor saying that she would personally apologise to Kangana if she felt that she had intentionally upset her, Kangana chose to lash out instead.

Kangana said, “I asked her if I can be courteous and gracious to acknowledge her requests for encouraging relevant work that she does, why is she so scared to see my film. I suggested that she grows some spine.”
