'Chhapaak' Producers to Take Legal Action for Deepika-Vikrant Leaked Scenes

In the much-awaited upcoming film Chhapaak, Deepika Padukone plays acid attack victim Lazmi Agarwal. The film also features co-star Vikrant Massey. Ever since the two have started shooting for the film, several photos and videos from the shoot have been leaked online. These videos were shared by several fan accounts of Instagram and other social media.

Now, the producers of Chhapaak are going to take actions to clamp down this illegal sharing of scenes from the film. According to sources, the producers might be taking strict action which includes serving legal notice to all parties who have shared the leaked video from the sets of Chhapaak.

Sooraj Pancholi-Starrer 'Satellite Shankar' to Now Release on September 6

Actor Sooraj Pancholi's next Satellite Shankar has been delayed by two months.

The film, directed by Irfan Kamal, was earlier scheduled to release on July 5 this year but now has been moved to September 6, the makers said in a statement.

Sooraj, the son of actors Aditya Pancholi and actress Zarina Wahab, had in Janaury shared a poster of the film, where a beige coloured bag covered with badges can be seen.

South actor Megha Akash is making Bollywood debut with the film.

Satellite Shankar will be jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar, Murad Khetani, Krishan Kumar and Ashwin Varde.

Other details related to the film are still under wraps.

'Fantastic Beasts 3' to Release in 2021

The third installment of the JK Rowling's Fantastic Beasts series is set to open in theatres on November 12, 2021, Warner Bros Pictures has announced.

Ron Sanders, President, Worldwide Theatrical Distribution and Home Entertainment, shared the news Monday, Deadline reported.

"JK Rowling created an awe-inspiring universe that has captivated people of all ages, taking us on an extraordinary magical journey. Warner Bros is so proud to be the cinematic home of the Wizarding World and is excited about the future of the Fantastic Beasts franchise. We look forward to bringing the third chapter of the five-film series to audiences around the globe in November 2021," Sanders said.

The series is inspired by the textbook by Newt Scamander, played by Eddie Redmayne in the films, that Harry Potter carries at Hogwarts.

The films follow Newt during the early 20th century in New York and London as he navigates the world's secret community of witches and wizards.

The second film in the franchise, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, featured Jude Law as younger Albus Dumbledore and Johnny Depp as younger version of dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald. The film released last year.

Production on "Fantastic Beasts 3" is expected to begin in early 2020.

Hollywood Director John Singleton Dead After Stroke

Oscar-nominated Hollywood director John Singleton has died after suffering a stroke. He was 51.

The versatile director, who made a splash with Boyz n the Hood and went on to a variety of projects including "2 Fast 2 Furious", had been in a coma since the stroke on April 17. He died on Monday, his family told CNN in a statement.

"John passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family and friends. We want to thank the amazing doctors at Cedars-Sinai Hospital for their expert care and kindness and we again want thank all of John's fans, friends and colleagues for all of the love and support they showed him during this difficult time," the family said.

In 1992 at the age of 24, Singleton became the youngest person to ever receive an Oscar nomination for best director for Boyz n the Hood, a film based on his experiences growing up in South Central Los Angeles.

He also was the first African-American to be nominated in that category.

He wrote the screenplay while attending the cinema school at University of Southern California (USC), winning various awards while a student that lead to his signing with Creative Artists Agency, the powerful talent agency.

Singleton worked steadily in a variety of genres, directing dramas like Rosewood and Baby Boy, a remake of Shaft starring Samuel L. Jackson and the action vehicle 2 Fast 2 Furious, the first sequel in The Fast and the Furious franchise, in 2003.

Most recently, Singleton was active in television as both a producer and director, which included co-creating the series Snowfall and episodes of shows such as American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson, Billions and Empire.

Yorgos Lanthimos, Pawel Pawlikowski Join Inarritu as Cannes Jury

Birdman director Alejandro Gonzales Inarritu, who serves as the jury president at this year's Cannes international film festival, will be joined by prestige names such as Yorgos Lanthimos, and Pawel Pawlikowski.

Four women and four men, from four continents and from seven different nationalities, will join Inarritu in selecting the winners from the competition segment of the festival.

Besides Lanthimos (The Favourite), Pawlikowski (Cold War), the members include American actor Elle Fanning, Senegalese actor and comedian Maimouna N'Diaye, American indie filmmaker Kelly Reichardt, French comic book creator-director Enki Bilal, Italian filmmaker Alice Rohrwacher and French-Moroccan screenwriter-director Robin Campillo.
