1. Shah Rukh Khan Starts Shooting for Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Brahmastra’

Ayan Mukerji’s ambitious project Brahmastra has been in the news ever since Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt came on board. Some time back, it was reported that Shah Rukh Khan will also be a part of the film. Now, according to a report by Mumbai Mirror, SRK shot a cameo in Filmcity Studios last week.

“Shah Rukh Khan’s character is VFX-driven. Shooting against a green screen is something that most actors find difficult to adapt, but having worked in films like Ra One, Fan and Zero, SRK breezed through it. He joined the crew after his birthday and shot for three days. Some more days are left,” a source told the publication.

2. Manushi Chillar to Star Opposite Akshay Kumar in ‘Prithviraj’

Akshay Kumar’s Prithviraj has found its leading lady in Miss World 2017 Manushi Chillar. Directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi, Prithviraj is based on the life of the king Prithviraj Chauhan. Akshay will be reprising the titular role, and Manushi will be playing the role of princess Sanyogita.

Yash Raj Films has been grooming the Miss World for the last nine months and making sure the rehearsals are going fine. “From becoming Miss India and then Miss World, my life has really been a fairy tale. Getting such a big project as my debut film, it's like a new, exciting chapter of my life,” Manushi said.

3. Ayushmann Races Towards ‘Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan’ Release

On 15 November, Ayushmann Khurrana shared the poster for his upcoming release Shubhmangal Zyada Saavdhan. The film is a sequel of the 2017 blockbuster Shubhmangal Saavdhan which also starred Bhumu Pednekar.

In the new poster, Ayushmann can be seen running. He’s dressed in a red and black jumpsuit and there seems to be an army of people running behind him. The poster reads, “Ab zyada jaldi release hogi aapki aur humari (Now the film will release sooner)“. The poster also announces that the film will now be releasing on 21 February 2020.

Ayushmann tweeted, “Bhaagte Bhagate aa rahe hain hum, (I am running to reach you) #ShubhMangalZyadaSaavdhan - Releasing on 21st Feb 2020”

4. CBFC Denies Blurring Alcohol Glasses in ‘Ford vs Ferrari’

Reports have claimed the CBFC asked the makers of Ford vs Ferrari to blur out alcohol glasses in the film.

The Central Board for Film Certification has denied claims that it has ordered the makers of Ford vs Ferrari to blur out glasses of alcohol in the film. An earlier report by Huffington Post India had claimed that certain scenes with alcohol bottles and glasses, both in the background and foreground, have been “hastily pixelated”.

The CFBC has called these claims “completely baseless”. Tushar Karmarkar, Regional Officer, CBFC Mumbai told Hindustan Times, “This is completely baseless. No such cut was mentioned by the CBFC in its communication to applicant (sic) asking for modifications.” He claimed that the blurring was “voluntarily done by them (producers 20th Century Fox)” as per the film certification board’s records.

5. Ayushmann’s ‘Bala’ Nears Rs 100 Cr in its First Week

Ayushmann Khurrana’s Bala has proven to be a hit at the box office. The film has earned Rs 72.24 crore in its first week. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, its collections are at par with his earlier release Dream Girl, with business expected to pick up in its second week. According to the producers, Bala has already earned Rs 100 crore at the global box office.
