1. New Modi Biopic Trailer Takes Potshots at Manmohan Singh

Ahead of the film’s release on 24 May, a new trailer for PM Narendra Modi, the upcoming biopic on India’s incumbent prime minister, has been released. The trailer wastes no time in vilifying the Congress and former UPA government. It opens with shots of crowds chanting for Modi followed by glimpses of characters that strongly resemble Congress leader Sonia Gandhi and former UPA prime minister Manmohan Singh.

2. ‘Saaho’ First Look Promises the Biggest Action Movie Made in India

The makers behind the upcoming action thriller Saaho have released the first look poster for the film that stars Baahubali star Prabhas in the lead. The poster sees Prabhas in a futuristic criminal look as many cars chase and crash behind him.

Prabhas took to his Instagram to share the poster, writing, “Here it is darlings, for all of you... The new official poster of my next film Saaho. See you in theatres on 15th August!”

In a new development, actor Vivek Oberoi has deleted the distasteful meme on Aishwarya Rai Bachchan that he had shared on Monday. The actor also apologised for sharing the meme with the message, “Even if one woman is offended by my reply to the meme, it calls for remedial action. Apologies, tweet deleted.”

Vivek apologised via Twitter on Tuesday morning, while defending himself by stating that he was empowered over 2000 underprivileged girls in the last 10 years and so would not be disrespectful to any woman.

Anupam Kher has slammed Vivek Oberoi for sharing a meme about Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, calling it shameful and in poor taste. Speaking to reporters at the trailer launch of his upcoming film One Day, the actor said,“It’s very shameful. It’s as simple as that. He shouldn’t have done that. It’s absolutely not cool.”

Kher’s co-star Esha Gupta also criticised Vivek Oberoi saying that the tweet is a reflection of who he is. "It just shows your mentality, specially if you're getting a minor involved. It's not in good taste at all. It just shows how he is. It doesn't reflect on what others are. It was shameful," she said.

5. Anupam Kher’s ‘One Day’ Trailer Promises Hard Hitting Action

The makers behind the upcoming crime thriller One Day: Justice Delivered have released the first trailer for the film. The film stars Anupam Kher, Esha Gupta and Kumud Mishra among others. The trailer promises a breakneck race-against-the-clock thriller with one man forced to take the law into his hands to deliver justice.

In One Day, Anupam Kher plays a retired judge who takes extreme measures for justice. Esha Gupta plays a brash heartland cop who has her own ways to get the job done. Kumud Mishra plays another police officer. The two are on the trail of a mysterious criminal who threatens to do something drastic.
