The 139-minute movie packs in songs and a grating comedy track performed by Sanjay Mishra and Sumit Gulati and even allows Sia to smash a few heads in, and it holds interest only when its rubber-bodied hero is on the screen. Shroff is far more comfortable using his fists than his facial muscles, but his undeniable martial arts skills makes him a worthy successor to the granite-faced East Asian luminaries of the genre.Nandini Ramnath, Scroll.in
Whenever we see Tiger doing something that involves his hands, legs, torso, head, all moving in perfect sync, scything up, slashing down, revolving on the balls of his feet, we are watching: it is a pleasure to see this young actor move, no jerk, all flow. When he is in action, that is. When he is ‘acting’, he is still clearly a novice. Shraddha Kapoor is slender and pretty and executes both the ‘chham chham’ in the rain as well as some roundhouse kicks and punches well enough, but is fashioned like a Bollywood heroine belonging to the potboilers of the 70s and 80s. Why does a film with a new hero, who can reveal a beautifully muscled chest, and do such jaw-dropping stunts, not go for broke and create freshness all around? I enjoyed the first half, and yawned through the much-too-long-drawn second.Shubhra Gupta, Indianexpress.com

The love story has its endearing moments but that’s mostly due to the inherent charm of the lead performers. But the two main highlights of the film are undoubtedly the film’s action and Tiger Shroff. In a tailor-made role for him, Tiger is dynamite on screen. He makes the toughest of stunts look like child’s play. The screenplay is predictable and leaves behind an incomplete mark as the film progresses. Baaghi is a high-octane masala feast. Watch it for Tiger Shroff - India’s best young action hero by far.Sarita A Tanwar, Dnaindia.com
