A Minute of Azhagiye is all you need to shake off your mid-week slump. With over a million views (and no, there aren’t all of my rewinds), AR Rahman has done it again. This song from Mani Ratnam’s latest Tamil film Kaatru Veliyidai starring Karthi, Aditi Rao is melodious, soulful, refreshing, and quite adorable.

Although, if you don’t know Tamil, it does sound like the starting line goes, “Waiting for a Pune guy, Shirdi...” it soon is clear that it is, in fact, not that. A few English words are more than enough for us to know that the song is about a man’s declaration of love and a marriage proposal. And of course, Aditi looks beautiful as Azhagiye means beautiful. Enjoy!
