We've seen a great many photos of President Barack Obama’s eight years in the White House.

Pete Souza, the man behind the camera, has followed Obama like a shadow to capture really important moments in the White House and has managed to document the person behind the president.

The White House photographer, who has taken over 2 million photos of Obama during his term as the president, told NBC News:

He’s still the same person that you see in public. I think my photographs really bring out who he is. I look at at my work as trying to create the best body of photographs that I can of this administration and this president.
