US President Barack Obama on Tuesday brushed aside Donald Trump’s comment that the 8 November polls were "rigged" against him, telling the Republican presidential candidate to "stop whining".
NBC quoted Obama as saying:
I’d advise Mr Trump to stop whining and try to go make his case to get votes. If whenever things are going badly for you, you start blaming somebody else, then you don’t have what it takes to be in this job. There are a lot of time things don’t go our way or my way… that’s okay, you fight through it.

On Monday, Trump tweeted about the “rigged system” that will allegedly mar the polls, suggesting that votes are being collected in fraudulent ways.
An NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll released on Sunday showed that Clinton had an 11-point lead nationally over Trump.
Trump's GOP counterparts and party officials in charge of administering elections have largely dismissed the idea of polls being rigged.
Even Trump’s running mate Mike Pence said on Sunday the GOP ticket "will absolutely accept the result of the election" urging his supporters to “do all you can to respectfully participate in the process and ensure the outcome" is one "we can all be proud of”.
Obama also condemned Trump’s praise for Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Mr Trump’s continued flattery of Mr Putin and the degree to which he models many of his policies and approaches to politics on Mr Putin is unprecedented in American politics.
