Raghav Bahl

As a television journalist turned media entrepreneur and investor, Raghav Bahl has spent his career at the crossroads of storytelling and innovation.

As the founder of Network18, he led its growth into one of India’s most diversified media conglomerates, encompassing close to 35 channels, 13 websites, niche magazines, and a movie production company. This journey is chronicled in 'Network 18: The Audacious Story of a Start-up That Became a Media Empire' by Indira Kannan. Following this success, he embarked on the digital route to redefine how stories are told.

Together with Ritu Kapur, he co-founded Quint Digital Limited (QDL), India’s leading digital and media-tech, AI-focused company. The conglomerate spans solutions ranging from news to tech innovations, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in media. They have built The Quint — a mobile-first and highly interactive news and views platform that shapes impactful journalism today through compelling, credible, and community-driven stories. QDL powers Quintype, an AI-driven digital newsroom growth platform that helps publishers around the world create, distribute, and monetise content from a single, powerful CMS. Recently, QDL acquired ListenFirst Media, a premium social media and digital analytics platform headquartered in New York.

Raghav's passion for news, economic policy, corporate issues, and geopolitics drives much of his work. Through Raghav’s Take — a series of columns, videos, and now a newsletter — he aims to provoke thought and spark meaningful dialogue, shaping perspectives in a fast-evolving world.

Raghav is also the author of the best-selling 'Super Trilogy' — 'Super Power? The Amazing Race Between China's Hare and India's Tortoise' (2012); 'SuperEconomies: America, India, China, and the Future of the World' (2016); and 'Super Century: What India Must Do to Rise by 2050' (2019).
