When Ellen Wanted to Scare Jake Gyllenhaal – And Failed Miserably
Tuesday was not the only time that Ellen made an attempt to scare the hell out of Gyllenhaal.
The last time Jake Gyllenhaal came on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’, he left utterly terrified after Ellen pulled off a prank on him – a woman (wearing what we can best describe as a goldilocks costume) appeared from behind a table onstage.
“I haven't been back for a little while, I was so terrified the last time I was here,” Gyllenhaal said, as the show host replayed the clip. “I don’t like watching that back. It was genuine.”
That’s why when the actor returned on the show on Tuesday, he came well prepared.
Ellen’s attempt to scare Gyllenhaal was thwarted by bad scheduling, as Jake walked in on her camera crew setting up shop in his dressing room.
“I tried to get you today, I was hiding in the bathroom of your dressing room,” she explained. “And you never came in there.”
“I knew it. Yes.” he yelled, triumphant in the face of her defeat.
