Manoj Tiwari, a singer and Bhojpuri actor, is also the BJP’s Delhi President. Consequently, when he sings a tune taking a jibe at demonetisation, it makes for an interesting video.

Tiwari said in the video that when he came across long queues in the country following demonetisation he decided to say something to cheer the people and sang the following lines:

Deshbhakt hai qataar mei,
Lagi hai bhaari bheedh
Taqleefo se saj rahi
Bharat ki tasveer
(The patriots stand in queues
A huge crowd has gathered
Painted with pain
Is India
s portrait.)
