While India stayed up till late on a Sunday night, trying to catch a glimpse of Dipa Karmakar – the first Indian female gymnast to qualify for the Olympics – there was disappointment in store.
Disappointment not owing to her performance, but because of the wink-and-you’ll-miss-it coverage she got on Star Sports India.
The 22-year-old gymnast managed to make the cut for the finals on Sunday by securing eighth position in the vault category.
