Indian shooters’ unimpressive run continued on Day 2 of Rio Olympics as Heena Sidhu failed to make it past the qualifiers.

Heena crashed out of the women’s 10m air pistol qualification round by finishing way behind the leaders in the 14th position out of 44 competitors.

On day one of competitions, the duo of Apurvi Chandela and Ayonika Paul failed to qualify in the women’s 10m air rifle event. Medal prospect Jitu Rai could make the final in the 10m air pistol but exited by finishing eighth in the summit round. Gurpreet Singh, the other shooter in fray, ended a distant 20th in a field of 46.
