Nestle has decided to destroy over 27,420 tonnes of Maggie noodles, which is equivalent to 400 million packets.

The company plans to destroy the stock in nearly 40 days, with the help of about 2,500 trucks.

Nestle India says it still has over 17,000 tonnes of Maggi noodles in the supply chain and the company is buying back the stock to destroy it.
