Swan Stranded on a Highway: A Dramatic Story of Rescue and Reunion
After much bumbling around, during which the rescuer also lost a shoe, the swan was finally caught.
What do you think happens when a swan is found stranded on the road? Well, in this particular incident in the UK, a full-fledged effort was in place to rescue the bird which was stranded next to the busy A3 highway.
When firefighters failed to catch hold of it, Simon Cowell, a famous animal rescuer from the Wildlife Aid Foundation was called in. After much bumbling around in the bushes, during which Cowell also misplaced his shoe, the bird was finally caught and put in his car.
After tending to the swan for a day, Cowell dropped it off at a lake, where it was happily reunited with its own.
Now doesn't this make for a perfect dramatic story of rescue and reunion?
