Rawat Outmaneouvred: SC Stays U’Khand HC Order Revoking Prez Rule

The Centre moved to the Supreme Court after the Uttarakhand High Court revoked President’s rule in the state.

The Centre had moved the Supreme Court (SC) after the Uttarakhand High Court (HC) had revoked President’s rule in the state.

Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi appeared for the Centre in the apex court. In a major blow to Congress, the SC has ordered a stay till 27 April on the HC order to strike down President’s Rule in the state.

The apex court has also directed the Uttarakhand HC to provide a copy of the judgement to all parties, including the SC, for examination by 26 April.
