Students and teachers protested outside St Stephen’s college on Monday, demanding resignation of Principal Thampu

Scores of students, teachers and women rights activists protested outside St Stephen’s college on Monday demanding the college principal Valson Thampu’s resignation over the student molestation case.

Activists from All India Democratic Women’s Association (AIDWA), Centre for Struggling Women (CSW), Saheli and All India Progressive Women Association (AIPWA) also joined the protest.

A female student of the college had filed a complaint alleging acts of sexual harassment, molestation and then subsequent acts of victimisation and mental torture disrupting the victim’s research work.
