In a video that is doing the rounds on the internet, Congress MLA Umang Singhar has been caught on camera, slapping BJP office-bearer Pradeep Gadia in an event which was being held in Madhya Pradesh’s Dhar on 25 August.
As per Financial Express, The incident took place in the presence of Dhar’s Member of Parliament and Bharatiya Janata Party leader Savitri Thakur and has sparked an immediate controversy.
The event where the incident took place was organised to compensate the family of a girl who died of open electric wires in Tanda, MP on 24 August, reports Dainik Bhasker.
Congress MLA Umang Singhar and BJP leader Pradeep Gadiya wanted to take credit for cheque distribution to the victim’s family, which led to a heated argument between the two. Singhar is seen getting angry in the video and then slapping Gadia.
Police was present on the spot and took the situation under control. It also registered a complaints against Singhar.
