Sick Kanpur Girl Rejects PM’s Money, Asks for Treatment Instead

Anamika Mishra has written to the PM, seeking access to treatment for a health condition treatable only abroad.

Anamika Mishra, 24 is living with a fatal disease called Muscular dystrophy. The disease supposedly has no cure in India. With her strong will to live Anamika chose to write to PM Modi for assistance. She is happy that the PM has written to her offering a sum of Rs 50,000 as well as two insurance policies for both mother and daughter.

However, Anamika refuses to accept any money, rather again writes to the Prime Minister asking for medical aid. she says that she wants access to treatment so that she can be healthy and can earn for herself and her mother. The family had earlier asked the government for euthanasia.
