Pleased That Navjot Kaur Sidhu has Joined Us: Congress
Former BJP member Navjot Kaur Sidhu and former MLA Pargat Singh joined the Congress party.
Cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu's wife Navjot Kaur Sidhu and former Olympian and former Akali Dal MLA Pargat Singh joined the Congress party on Monday at the All India Congress Committee (AICC) meeting. Navjot Kaur Sidhu had quit the BJP in October.
The announcement of Pargat and Kaur joining the party was made in presence of senior Congress leaders, including party spokesperson Randeep Surjewala.
Pargat and Kaur met the Congress high command in New Delhi last week to seal the deal. Later, both met Punjab Congress President Captain Amarinder Singh and discussed the formalities of joining the party.
