4-Yr-Old Girl Allegedly Raped by 15-Yr-Old Neighbour in Moradabad

A 4-year-old was allegedly raped by her 15-year-old neighbour, reportedly the nephew of a Congress leader in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh.

A 4-year-old was allegedly raped by her 15-year-old neighbour in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh. The accused, who was arrested on Thursday, 19 June, is reportedly a nephew of a local Congress leader.

The accused minor has been charged under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) and has been sent to a juvenile home for 14 days.

The accused reportedly lured the girl child to his residence, and then raped her, reported ANI.

The survivor’s family alleged that they were being intimidated by the accused’s kin.

They (the accused’s family) threatened us against filing a report with the police. They threatened us with dire consequences.

The police has assured the family of proper investigation into the matter, adding that there was “no question of compromise.”

We will take the strictest action. The accused is a juvenile. Within the frame of law, maximum action will be taken. We have provided protection to the family. There is no question of compromise. We will take this case to the highest level. We are doing our best.
