Kolkata Building collapse: 3 killed and 3 injured in Burrabazar
Kolkata Municipal Corporation workers were deployed at the site
A four-storey dilapidated building in central Kolkata's Burrabazaar area, the biggest wholesale hub of eastern India, collapsed on Tuesday, killing three members of a family. The three victims – an aged couple and their middle-aged daughter – were trapped inside a room when the building collapsed, the police said.
The building in question was allegedly marked as “dangerous”. The area was cordoned off and the building evacuated.
