A farmer in Madhya Pradesh received three Rs 2,000 notes from the SBI branch that did not bear the face of Mahatma Gandhi on them.

RK Jain, an SBI officer said that the notes were not fake but only misprinted. He also said the notes have been taken back by the bank and sent for a probe.

This is not the first time that misprinted notes have been found their way into the economy. Earlier, people were getting notes which consisted of series where Gandhi’s face was printed differently on every note.
