DPS Student in UP Attempts Suicide Over Alleged Discrimination

The student said he was depressed and consumed sleeping pills.

A student from Kalyanpuri’s Delhi Public School attempted to commit suicide by consuming sleeping pills after alleged discrimination by his teachers.

He got depressed after being called a villager and a cheapster. When my sister went to the school, she wasn’t allowed to meet the principal. She met the teachers, who didn’t allow my son to speak. Later, the teachers called me and asked me to not report the matter to the school’s principal.

The student said she was depressed after complaining about not having any friends in her class and the teacher asked the students keep away from her. Although, the police have registered a complaint, the school has not responded to the charges.
