Bengaluru Police on Tuesday, 15 October arrested the managing director of a private security firm after videos of him brutally assaulting two of his employees surfaced on social media.

In the viral video clips, the suspect, Salim Khan, can be seen standing on the neck of one of the men as the latter begs him to let him go.

The videos also show Khan stomping on the head of one of the men multiple times and jumping on the other’s chest. The incident took place on Monday.

Since the attack, Khan and the two victims have been missing.

Speaking to The Quint, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southeast) Isha Pant said that after the videos surfaced on social media, HSR Layout police registered a suo moto case.

“We have booked a suo moto case under section 307 (attempt to murder) and section 342 (wrongful confinement) of the IPC. There are six suspects in the case, out which we have secured two people on Tuesday morning. Salim Khan was arrested in the evening,”

According to police, the two victims are security guards working with Khan’s company, Bangalore Security Force. However, officer Pant added that the identities of the two victims are yet to be verified.

She also said that the circumstance under which Khan assaulted them is still unclear.

“We are getting different versions of the incidents as of now. Let us question Khan first, then we will get to know,” Pant said.

Meanwhile, sources at HSR layout police station said that according to officials at Khan’s company, the two men had tried to kidnap the owner.
