A 10-year-old male elephant fell inside a 45-feet deep well while wandering in search of water with the herd in Coimbatore. Due to non-availability of necessary equipments, the efforts of the rescue department and the forest department failed.

However, with additional help from the police and NGOs, the elephant was finally rescued on Tuesday night, after continuous efforts for almost four hours.
