Actress Meryl Streep expressed her support for Hillary Clinton on the second night of the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia. “It takes grit and it takes grace” to be the “first female anything,” Streep told the crowd.

The actress spoke after Former President Bill Clinton offered a rousing, spirited defence of his wife’s tenure as secretary of state.
