Maria Sharapova made a fantastic return to the women’s circuit with a 7-5, 6-3 win over Roberta Vinci at the Stuttgart Open. She made a comeback after serving a 15-month doping ban.

The 30-year-old was banned after testing positive for Meldonium at the 2016 Australian Open.

After her comeback match, the Russian said that she felt rusty but also felt like she had never left.

Sharapova expressed that she knew she would play tennis again, but just didn’t know in how much time she would make a comeback.
