Visiting temples on his state-wide tour has almost become a given for the Gandhi scion. On Friday he visited the Kamtanath temple in Chitrakoot.

It may be recalled that he earlier in the yatra visited the Hanumangarhi Temple in Ayodhya and the Vindhyachal Temple in Mirzapur.

The move is being seen as an attempt to woo the majority Hindu population of the state, by a party now largely perceived having a soft corner for the minorities.
