India, Sri Lanka Vow to Strengthen Key Bilateral Relations

India and Sri Lanka vowed to strengthen bilateral ties on the occasion of the visit of the Sri Lankan Prime Minister.

In his first overseas trip after assuming the top office for the fourth term, Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe arrived in New Delhi on a three- day visit.

Both Prime Ministers issued joint statements, vowing strengthening bilateral ties and improving cooperation in the fields of trade, infrastructure, defence, combating terrorism and maritime security.

Both countries also laid emphasis on improving people-to-people ties.
