Aakar Patel, the Director of Amnesty International has rebutted the FIR that was registered against the group on Monday, saying it has “factual errors”.
Claiming the NGO did no wrong, he said that slapping Amnesty with a sedition charge was not right.
The NGO had an FIR registered against it after claims were made that ‘anti-national’ slogans were raised by attendees at an event they held on independence day.
