FB Live: Rebecca John on the Acquittal of Rajesh and Nupur Talwar
The Talwars’ lawyer talks to us about the infamous Aarushi-Hemraj murder case, and why the Allahabad HC got it right
It’s been nearly 4 years since Rajesh and Nupur Talwar were convicted by a special CBI court of the murder of their daughter Aarushi, and domestic help Hemraj. But today, the Allahabad High Court overturned that conviction and set the Talwars free, in the latest development in a saga that has gripped the nation since 2008.
Senior advocate Rebecca John, who has represented the Talwars from the beginning, expressed her satisfaction at the verdict, and discussed the case in detail with The Quint.
