Senior Maharashtra BJP leader Eknath Khadse announced his resignation from the office of Ministry of Revenue, Agriculture, Excise and Minority Affairs. Khadse said that he has quit his post to “uphold moral values” in BJP.

The BJP leader alleged that a media trial was being conducted against him.

For the last 40 years, I have been working in politics. There has been an unprecedented media trial against me. I have demanded to Fadnavis that there should be a probe into the allegations.
