Music is the great healer, and it is so for everyone: the rich, the poor, the good, the bad.
But why must music remain removed from the hearts of the hearing-impaired? Why can’t their souls dance in the joy of music too? Well, Coke Studio Pakistan thought about that and came out with a musical experience tailored for the deaf for its upcoming season 9, through the Coke Studio for the Deaf.
Through vibrations, touch and light, the music travels through every cell of the hearing-impaired in this video, and they too dance in the masti of music.
There are about 9 million people in Pakistan who have some kind of hearing impairment.
One of the people who were invited to witness how it feels to be a part of the this exercise said, “Even though we can’t hear the music, we can feel it. I had no idea that I’ll be experiencing something new here.”
