China: Driver Misjudges Overhead Clearance, Bus Stuck Under Bridge

A two-storey bus coach gets stuck under a bridge reportedly because the driver ignored a height limit sign.

Footage has emerged from China of a coach getting stuck under a bridge reportedly because the driver ignored a height limit sign. The driver clearly misjudged the overhead clearance (space between the top of his bus and the bridge’s underside) and the inadvertent happened.

The video, filmed in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province on 1 May, shows the two-storey vehicle driving towards the bridge before knocking over the traffic lights and getting stuck under the bridge. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
