14 October 1981, the day when one of India’s finest opening batsman, Gautam Gambhir, was born in Delhi. The aggressive left-handed batsman made his debut against Bangladesh in ODIs in 2003 and against Australia in Tests in 2004.

He made many major contributions on the cricketing field, both in blue and in the white jersey. His knocks of 75 against Pakistan in 2007 T20 World Cup final and 97 against Sri Lanka in 2011 World Cup final, are still regarded among his best innings in One Day Internationals.
