In the third episode of Bytes & Bolts, The Quint takes a look at the past week’s top stories in the world of technology and automobiles.

According to reports, the website went offline on 17 April 2018, around 7:20 pm IST, then came back online at 7:28 pm, then went back offline at 7:31 pm, and then finally came back online at around 8:05 pm.

Seems like that was Twitter’s way of saying “I need a vacation”.

Also, the Supreme Court of India’s website was hacked by hackers from Brazil who call themselves HighTech Brazil Hack Team. This happened during the Judge Loya death case hearing.

Amazon has launched a mobile internet browser called Internet. Internet doesn’t track your data and is just 2MB in size so now you have to worry about surfing the ‘Internet’.

Also, Mahindra launched the new XUV500 this week with prices starting at 12.32 lakh all the way up to 19 lakh. The market is divided on how the XUV looks and they also have a petrol edition now which is not that fuel efficient.

Also, the government has now increased the speed limit on expressways 120 kmph. The speed limits within the city have also changed. These norms have also changed for cab drivers.

And speaking of cabs, the driving license norms have also changed. So now with a private license you are eligible to drive a cab. You no longer need a commercial license.

Nasa’s TESS which is a planet hunting telescope hitched a ride into space on-board a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket. So earlier, stage one rockets that came back to Earth, now Elon Musk wants to bring even the second stage rockets back using a big balloon!
