Ben Stokes and Jaydev Unadkat’s brilliance with the ball in the death overs helped Rising Pune Supergiant beat Mumbai Indians by three runs in an Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 match on 24 April.

Chasing Pune’s total of 161, Mumbai needed just 24 runs from 12 balls with Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya at the crease. However, brilliant bowling by man-of-the-match Stokes in the 18th over left Mumbai needing 17 off the final over.

Unadkat dismissed Hardik Pandya (13) off the first ball of the final over with Stokes latching on to a super catch. The left-armer then removed Rohit Sharma and McClenaghan on the fourth and fifth ball. Harbhajan Singh smashed a six off the last ball but could not get Mumbai past the line.
