Microsoft to Launch New Surface Devices At Event on 2 October

The Windows maker is likely to announce the new Surface Pro 2-in-1 as well as the Surface earbuds.

Microsoft has announced a whole new Surface event to take place on 2 October in New York City. The Surface 2-in-1 notebook range goes up against Apple iPad Pro series, which also supports a stylus aka Apple Pencil.

The tech giant has already begun sending out press invitations for the same. The invites show what appears to be a partial Microsoft logo, a message "Save the date" along with the date and venue.

The company is rumoured to launch dual-screen Surface device, codenamed Centaurus. In addition to the Centaurus, Microsoft will most likely showcase the upgraded Surface Laptop 3, Surface Pro 7 and Surface Book 3 among others, GSMArena reported on Tuesday.

Surface earbuds is also expected to launch, as well as new keyboards with a dedicated Office button taking the place of the right-hand Windows key.

As per report, the new Surface devices would most likely be powered by 10th-gen Intel Core processors and may include USB Type-C Thunderbolt ports.

To recall, at last year event, Microsoft announced Surface Pro 6 laptop/tablet hybrid, Surface Laptop 2 notebook, its Surface Studio 2 desktop computer and the Surface headphones.
