Apple makes what are arguably the most popular truly wireless headphones, the AirPods and also owns Beats, one of the most popular headphone brands in the world.

There, however, might soon be a conflict of interest coming Apple's way as CNET reports, citing an insider that Beats will also have its truly wireless headphones in the market soon.

The report says that the Beats headphones will be a cord-free version of the PowerBeats wireless headphones and could be announced in April.

This, according to the CNet report, is a pattern followed by Apple after the launch of its AirPods in 2016 as well. Soon after the AirPods were introduced, the BeatsX were launched, using Apple's W1 chip for headphones.

The same way, the portal says that the upcoming BeatsPower based earphones could use the new H1 chip on the newly teased AirPods 2.

CNET says that the new PowerBeats could be an alternative to those who don't like the rather boring design of the AirPods and offer features like better sound and water resistance.
