With one week between India's ICC World Cup 2023 matches, Team India Head coach Rahul Dravid, Batting Coach Vikram Rathour, Fielding Coach T Dilip alongside other support staff members took a day off to trek in the hills of Himachal Pradesh.

In a video shared by team India’s official Instagram page, the support staff could be seen hiking up to the Triund.

“Super view coming here up to Triund. Getting here, going up the mountains, climbing It’s a challenging trek I must admit,” said Dravid as he spoke to the camera.

The coach then said that he couldn’t have the players join him as it would be risky for them to trek there and that he would want some of them to enjoy it when they aren’t playing.

“Unfortunately, can’t bring the boys here. It's a bit too risky walking on those stones but hopefully when they’re not playing love for some of the boys to come here and experience this,” he said.

“Once you come here the views are breathtaking, spectacular and it’s just incredible. Terrific for the support staff to be able to come here…just a great day out.” he added.

Batting coach Vikram Rathour, too, shared his experience and said, “When you’re climbing up and the last trek is a little tricky, the last half an hour is hard but the moment it opens up everything is worth it.”

Meanwhile, team India’s next assignment for the ICC World Cup 2023 is against England. The men in blue will face the defending champions on 29 October at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.
