It’s a great time to be Virat Kohli. The Indian captain is the hottest property in world cricket, and for good reason.

He kick-started the year by becoming the first Indian captain to oversee a Test series win in Australia, and followed it up with an ODI series triumph to boot – over the course of which he also brought up a staggering 39th ODI hundred to move within 10 centuries of Sachin Tendulkar’s all-time record.

But where does Virat Kohli see himself eight years down the line? In a brief post shared on his social media accounts, the 30-year-old gave a glimpse of what lies ahead.

While Kohli shared only a brief snippet of his thoughts in a plug for his official app, the few words shared suggested the importance of his family life to the skipper.

“Eight years down the line, priority would be family. Priority would be myself, Anushka.”

Kohli married Anushka Sharma in December 2017, and the celebrity pair have been the talk of the town ever since.

The Bollywood actor/producer has been a regular presence besides the world-beating cricketer, with both the stars making it a point to spend quality time together through their respective busy schedules.

Having spent the last two months in Australia, the couple are now in New Zealand, where the Indian cricket team is set to contest a five-match ODI series starting on 23 January, followed by a three-match T20I series.
