After winning a historic Test at Adelaide, the Indian cricket team set-off for Perth, the venue for their second five-day match against Australia.

The Men in Blue couldn’t have made a better start to their four-match series, defeating the hosts by 31 runs on 10 December, to win India’s first Test Down Under in 10 years.

Indian captain Virat Kohli couldn’t quite make a mark in the series opener with scores of 3 and 34. Instead the skipper had his teammates to credit for the big win, and even did his bit to show his appreciation.

Former England captain Michael Vaughan on Tuesday, 11 December, said he saw the Indian skipper and his wife Anushka Sharma give their Business Class air seats up for the team’s pacers.

“Witnessed Virat Kohli & his wife give up their Business class seats to allow the quicks more comfort & space on the trip from Adelaide - Perth!! Danger Australia.. Not only are the quicks more relaxed.. The Skipper is managing his troops with great human touches (sic),” tweeted Vaughan.

A little appreciation for their teammates, or perhaps a gift from the couple, who happened to be celebrating their first wedding anniversary too!?
