Rashid Khan Upset at No Invite to Manish Pandey’s Wedding
Rashid Khan took to Twitter to joke around with Manish Pandey after not being invited to his wedding.
Just 24 hours removed from his Man of the Match performance against Tamil Nadu in the Syed Mushtaq Ali final on Sunday, Manish Pandey married southern actor Ashrita Shetty in Mumbai on Monday, 2 December.
The internet showered the couple with good wishes but the one that stood out was from Afghanistan cricketer Rashid Khan, who asked Pandey why he wasn’t invited. “Congratulations my brother @im_manishpandey. Raja wishing you a lifetime of happiness together and a love that grows stronger with each passing day. Lekan Invite Q nahi kya (But why didn’t I get an invite), wrote Rashid in a tweet.
This was all in good humour, as Rashid congratulated Manish Pandey and wished him happiness. He wasn’t the only one doing so, with multiple members of the Indian national cricket team also sending good wishes to the couple.
“ Wish you both all the happiness in the world. Trust me this will be your best innings @im_manishpandey,” wrote Indian batsman Rohit Sharma.
Captain Virat Kohli congratulated his teammate, tweeting “Congratulations Pandey ji. Wish you both a lifetime of beautiful moments and happiness. God bless you both.”
Yusuf Pathan also sent good wishes towards Pandey.
Manish Pandey also took to social media to thank those who had wished. Posting a photo from his wedding, he wrote, “About yesterday and a big thankyou to everyone who were a part of this. Thankyou for your love and best wishes”.
