The IOC president Thomas Bach has officially declared the Rio Olympic Games closed and cauldron flame has been extinguished.

Welcome to the coverage of the 2016 Summer Olympics’ closing ceremony at Rio. We have entered the last phase of the tournament with the United States of America finishing top of the medal tally yet again with 46 gold medals, 37 silvers and 38 bronze medals.
India, who won two medals towards the end of the competition, finished 67th at the Rio Games.
